ABOUT THE PROJECT
Ballarat South Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrade BALLARAT
Since 2018, the embankment between Lagoons A/D and Lagoon E at Ballarat South WWTP have shown progressively worsening signs of degradation and the two sets of culverts spanning the width of embankment, and connecting adjacent lagoons, have partially collapsed. The embankment contains two water supplies mains which service both the WWTP itself and Sebastopol township. Entracon Civil were engaged to design and construct the replacement water mains, culverts and embankment.

- Project design
- Construction of new watermain supplies to Sebastopol and the WWTP including
- Underground Ductile Iron Pipe and underground offtake pipework to WWTP.
- Underground Ductile Iron Pipe connection to existing infrastructure
- Above ground Mild Steel Cement Lined Pipe work over embankment which comprised of in situ welding.
- Construction of 2 culvert systems, base poured in situ and placement of precast crown units and headwalls.
- Rock beaching
- Reconstruction of the embankment under Level 1 supervision
- Reinstatement of access tracks.
