ABOUT THE PROJECT

Bondi Road Outfall and Stormwater Pump Station BONBEACH

To reduce the impact of regular flooding in properties at the end of Bondi Road and other flooding impacts in the local area, Kingston City Council have been working to improve drainage at Bonbeach Reserve. Stage One of the works includes the construction of the pumping station

WORKS

  • Construction of a 3.6m diameter x 10m deep concrete pumping station and valve pit
  • Supply and installation of 2 x submersible pumps and all associated pipes, fitting and mechanical works
  • Design and construct associated electrical works up to the main switchboard

KEY ASPECTS

  • Installation of pump station via caisson method
  • Working below sea level in sand
  • Significant depth of excavation requiring specialised equipment and safety gear
