ABOUT THE PROJECT
Wandana Gully and Cholet Court Reserve Phase 1 & 2 HIGHTON
Wandana Gully is a drainage reserve in the Geelong suburb of Highton. The gully has suffered significant erosion causing a build up of sediment downstream. Entracon has implemented Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the council’s improvement plan to create a community space within the gully that links walking trails, and preserves and enhances the gully environment, whilst protecting the Barwon River from the impacts of urban stormwater run off.
WORKS
- Installation of drainage outfall pipes including a Gross Pollution Trap (GPT), junction pit and endwall.
- Construction of pedestrian footpath
- Planting of 52,000 shrubs, groundcovers and trees
- Installation of Geocell and jute matting
- Installation of bollard fence and rabbit proof fence
