ABOUT THE PROJECT

Tarralla Creek Stormwater Harvesting System CROYDON

The Tarralla Creek Stormwater Harvesting System is being delivered by Maroondah City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government (Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning), Yarra Valley Water and Melbourne Water. This system will capture, treat and re-use stormwater to irrigate four surrounding sports fields in Croydon, saving approximately 13 million litres (5 Olympic sized swimming pools) of drinking water per year.

  • Construction of diversion pit over 2m diameter stormwater pipeline
  • Installation of 7m deep GPT and Sediment Trap
  • Construction of in situ 6m deep concrete pump station
  • Construction of a 1,000KL underground storage tank

  • Construction of an architectural pump house building
